Greg received his first 35mm camera from his parents as a 21st birthday present, fortunately this camera was a fully manual model, which forced
Greg to understand the principles of photography and light, from the very beginning this combined with a love of hiking, camping & the great outdoors, has led
Greg into the area of photography he excels at and enjoys, i.e. landscape photography.
In 1994 after 20 years as an amateur photographer & receiving numerous accolades from friends & family,
Greg decided to turned his passion into a professional venture. In March 1995
Greg, his wife Heather & their two sons, Todd and Ryan, quit their jobs, rented their house & "hit the road" travelling around Australia. What was to be a 12 month journey, turned into a 5 year adventure or a lifetime, with
Greg shooting over 500 rolls of film, capturing the very essence of this island continent known as
"Australia".
All images are shot on 6.4.5 medium format film, being 2 1/2 times larger than 35mm film, which gives excellent detail & clarity especially when enlarged.
